You will study the causes of crime, the different types of crime and the legal and criminal justice system in Ireland. You will also learn about criminal motivation, the underlying causes of crime, and means of justice and rehabilitation.
You can progress to a range of careers from this course, both in the state and private sector. Your options are many, and include progression to legal careers, an Gárda Síochána, Prison Service, Parole and Rehabilitation services, the Security Industry and Surveillance. In addition, this course will provide you with a wide range of transferable skills that will support many other careers paths.
