Night College is not running in Spring 2026
We will return in Autumn 2026.
We have a range of night classes for you to choose from, providing a wide choice for everyone. Learn a new skill, take up a hobby, improve your knowledge and enjoy the sociable side of a night class. Carlow Institute – a college for the community
- All courses will take place from 7pm–9pm
- All classes starting on Tuesday, 27th January 2026
- Mid-term break – 16th Feb-Friday 20th Feb 2026 (no classes)
- Last class will take place on Tuesday 24th March 2026
Fees must be paid in full and in advance. Fees are non-refundable except where a course does not take place due to low enrolment.
Payment of fees is online only. We do not accept any other form of payment.
Where a basic materials fee is listed, you will be provided with the basic materials to participate in the class. Any additional materials costs to be covered by the learner.
Free car parking is available with over 300 spaces
Formation of a course is dependent on sufficient numbers. A full refund of fees will apply if a course does not form.
The minumum age requirement is 18 years
Night College Classes Offered
All you need to know about using the Internet for day-to-day activities. This course is designed to build your digital skills for the modern world and includes email, managing transactions online, accessing documents and downloads and many other helpful digital skills.

This course is suitable for those who have taken a basic course in French. Enjoy learning conversational French and discover the culture of France.

Learn to play the guitar in a relaxed and enjoyable environment. This course is suitable for a beginner, and you will learn tuning, strumming and finger styles. You are required to bring your own guitar.
