Accounting Technician Apprenticeship

Our two-year Accounting Technician Apprenticeship is a fantastic route to a career in professional accountancy. This work-based programme is delivered through KCETB Training Services, in conjunction with Accounting Technicians Ireland (ATI) which requires the apprentice to attend college onsite one day per week (off-the job training) at Carlow Institute, and work with a local employer (on-the-job training) on the other four days during term time.

Everything you learn will support and inform your work with your employer, providing you with the opportunity to apply newly gained knowledge and skills on a daily basis.

Graduates of this programme can join ATI’s professional membership network and use the designatory letters MIATI after their name. Accounting Technicians are widely employed throughout the public sector, industry, business and private accountancy practices in a variety of roles to include payroll manager, audit assistant, tax advisor, accounts assistant and finance managers.
